Getting the name from the 12th century when the Holy family home was transported to Loreto, Italy, it is believed that Lady Loreto carried Baby Jesus for the journey. It is in Loreto, Italy where the famous "Holy House" shrine is found today, near the sea in the pleasant hills. Legend has it that this was the house Mary was born in and lived in as a child.
